He was born in 1889. During the naval attack of 18th March 1975, Seyid was posted as a simple private in Rumeli Mecidiye Rampart. At the Navy Battle, there was only one cannon which was working. But its mechanism to lift the cannon bullets was broken down. He lifted a bullet which weighed about two hundred kilos and put it in the cannon. The Ocean fighting boat was badly damaged with this heavy bullet.
