Akşehir is a province of Konya where Nasreddin Hoca who is a philosopher and wise man lived and died here. Nasreddin Hoca known mostly for his funny stories and anecdotes.
One funny tale is one day villager asks to borrow Nasreddin Hoca’s donkey. He says that donkey is not at home, but conversation interrupted by the donkey braying from the stable. When the villages says that donkey must be in the stable, Nasreddin Hoca ask to the villagers they prefers to believe him or a donkey.
